I kindly ask that you take a moment to carefully review the following policy. It’s important to me that all expectations are clear and that your experience with Magnolia Ruth & Co. is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. By understanding the terms, I can ensure your session is handled with care, respect, and professionalism from start to finish.

No Refund, Cancellation, and Liability Policy

By booking with Magnolia Ruth & Co., you (the client) acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

Full payment is due at the time of booking. Your session is not confirmed until payment is received in full. This payment secures your selected date and time and prevents other clients from booking it.

All payments made to Magnolia Ruth & Co. are non-refundable. We do not issue refunds for cancellations, no-shows, changes of mind, scheduling conflicts, dissatisfaction with styling, weather conditions, or personal circumstances. Refunds will only be issued if explicitly stated in writing at the time of booking.

If you need to reschedule your session, you must notify us at least 72 hours in advance. One complimentary reschedule is allowed and will be accommodated based on availability. Additional rescheduling requests may incur a rebooking fee. If you fail to appear for your session without prior notice, the session will be forfeited and no refund or credit will be issued.

In the event of an Act of God—including but not limited to natural disasters, serious illness or injury, life-threatening emergencies, or government-mandated restrictions—that prevents either party from fulfilling the session, Magnolia Ruth & Co. may offer to reschedule or provide a credit toward a future session. Determination of what qualifies as an Act of God is at the sole discretion of Magnolia Ruth & Co. Refunds for these situations are not guaranteed.

Clients are expected to arrive on time and fully prepared for their session. Your session begins at the scheduled time, not at the time of your arrival. If you are late, that time will be deducted from your session and will not be extended. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your session may be considered a no-show and canceled at the photographer’s discretion without refund or credit. Magnolia Ruth & Co. is not responsible for reduced photo quantity or quality due to lateness.

Magnolia Ruth & Co. shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from missed sessions, delays, cancellations, emergencies, or technical failure. By booking, the client releases Magnolia Ruth & Co. and its representatives from any and all liability, including but not limited to personal injury, property loss, emotional distress, or dissatisfaction related to participation in the session. It is the responsibility of the client to arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to be photographed.

By submitting payment and booking a session with Magnolia Ruth & Co., you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms outlined in this policy.

Copyright & Image Use Policy

All photographs created by Magnolia Ruth & Co. are the sole intellectual property of Alicia Sizemore, owner and lead photographer, and are protected in full under U.S. Copyright Law. By booking a session with Magnolia Ruth & Co., the client acknowledges and agrees to the following terms, which are legally binding.

Magnolia Ruth & Co. retains full copyright and ownership of all images produced during any session. Clients are granted personal-use rights only, which allow for printing, sharing with family and friends, and posting on personal (non-commercial) social media accounts. At all times, and without exception, credit must be given to Magnolia Ruth & Co. when images are shared online or in print. This includes tagging the business on social platforms or written attribution when tagging is not available.

Clients may not edit, alter, crop, apply filters, or manipulate images in any way that changes the photographer’s original work. This includes but is not limited to third-party editing apps, social media filters, or AI-enhancement tools. The final delivered images represent the artistic vision of Magnolia Ruth & Co. and are not to be changed.

Images may not be used for commercial purposes under any circumstances without written permission and a signed image licensing agreement. This applies to both clients and any third-party vendors involved in or present at a session, including but not limited to florists, boutiques, planners, stylists, or venues. If any vendor or third party wishes to use Magnolia Ruth & Co.'s images for business, advertising, branding, website, or promotional use, they must first obtain written consent and purchase a usage license directly from Magnolia Ruth & Co.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise by the client in writing and accompanied by a signed image opt-out form provided by Magnolia Ruth & Co., all clients grant permission for their images to be used by Magnolia Ruth & Co. for marketing, advertising, social media, website display, promotional materials, publication, and portfolio purposes. Booking a session constitutes automatic acceptance of this marketing usage unless the proper form is requested and completed prior to your session. Magnolia Ruth & Co. honors privacy when requested in writing; however, verbal statements or assumptions will not override this policy.

Any unauthorized use, reproduction, editing, distribution, or commercial exploitation of images without the express written consent of Magnolia Ruth & Co. is a direct violation of federal copyright law. Violators will be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law, including but not limited to legal action and financial restitution.

By submitting payment and booking a session, the client affirms that they have read, understood, and fully agree to this Copyright & Image Use Policy.
